He must Increase, I must decrease

This years Discipleship Training School (DTS) has come to a close and It was such a ride. Highs and Lows, twists and turns, but every chance was what both the students and myself needed. I grew so much. When asked to sum up this years DTS in one sentence, I answer quite easily with "He must increase, I must decrease." over the past five months I have fallen in love with discipleship, the concept of it, what a disciple is and does, and what are the ultimate implications of discipleship. When Jesus called someone to Himself he bid them to 'come and die.' That us what he is calling to each of us if we are to really follow Him. The question to answer is what does it look like to 'come and die?'

A new angle

God so loved us that, in Jesus Christ, He got inside our skin, and voluntarily put to death the effect of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, that we may live by the tree of life- His life living in us.

the Cross

The implications for this next statement is huge:

"You are more Sinful than you ever dared possible, but you are more Loved than you ever dreamed imaginable."

NEVER forget the simplicity of the Cross. It is enough.
